Best time to go for the Golden Triangle tour with Shimla

The best time to take the Golden Triangle tour with Shimla is from October to March. During these months, the weather in Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur is cool and comfortable, making it perfect for sightseeing and exploring the cities without feeling too hot. Shimla, being a hill station, is especially pleasant at this time, with chilly evenings and sometimes snowfall in winter, which adds to its charm. It’s best to avoid visiting between April and June because the temperatures can get very high in the cities, making it uncomfortable to travel and sightsee. The monsoon season, from July to September, brings heavy rains, especially in Shimla, which can cause delays or difficulties in traveling. So, planning your trip during the cooler months will help you enjoy the historic sites, beautiful landscapes, and all the activities without worrying about extreme heat or rain.

Other Info

  • Clothes/shoes:
For women we suggest wearing dress modestly; try to avoid provocative clothes on such as mini-skirts etc during sightseeing or temple visit. Removing shoes before entering a home is more a cultural rather than a religious tradition, it is important to know that some religions require removing shoes before entering a house of worship or a temple
  • Language:
As long as you know English, there will be few communication issues in India. Most Indians know some English, however some will not be able to converse as fluently as you would prefer including taxi drivers, waiters, porters and hotel staff. This is where some basic Hindi words, phrases and sentences can come handy.
  • Tipping:
Tipping: Tipping (known as Baksheesh) is pretty uncommon in India. In fact most services, except for restaurants, won’t expect it. Even if you are under no obligation it’s always nice to leave a small gratuity for airport representatives, guides and driver.
